Commonly asked questions about Cardisure:
What is Cardisure?
Cardisure is different to many congestive heart failure medications because it works in two ways to reduce stress on the heart muscle and improve its ability to pump blood.
Prescription Cardisure dilates the blood vessels that move blood away from the heart and it also strengthens contractions in the heart muscle. The active ingredient in Cardisure is Pimobendan. Many dogs that are suffering from congestive heart failure and take Cardisure experience improved quality of life and greater longevity.
Why do dogs use Cardisure?
Veterinarians prescribe Cardisure for dogs with congestive heart failure.
The drug in Cardisure, Pimobendan, is effective for many dogs because is helps the heart work more efficiently, which eases the workload on the heart muscle and may help the dog live longer and have a better quality of life. Cardisure may be prescribed for bad heart valves, such as myxomatous mitral disease, or weak heart muscle, also known as dilated cardiomyopathy.
What else should I know about Cardisure?
Treats mild or moderate congestive heart failure in dogs. Helps the heart pump blood more efficiently. May lengthen life span.
What problems could my dog have with Cardisure?
The most common side effects are poor appetite and diarrhoea. Contact your veterinarian if you see any new or worsening symptoms while giving Cardisure.
How do you use Cardisure?
Cardisure works best when given on an empty stomach. Follow your veterinarian's directions. Do not stop giving Cardisure without talking to your veterinarian.
What is in Cardisure?
The drug in Cardisure is Pimobendan. Pimobendan is an inodilator that improves the heart's action by making the heart muscle pump harder while relaxing blood vessels to allow the blood to flow more easily.
